I’d like to share this information with anyone that may require it, or that it would help.
On one board I was bemoaning the fact that some disabled persons might not have internet services for varying reasons.
I signed on, so to speak, to help someone in this exact problem area find a way to get service.
My research has led me to this page.
Obama signed in to law a bill that states basically everyone that is low income, disabled, and such can get internet services for free, or a really low cost.
His administration recognized, that in our technology age, you can not apply for work, it is better and easier to communicate with your doctor, friends, family.
It is also better if you have children in your house that require internet service for school.
Some of the service offered as top notch really, but are costing like $5 per month, or at little as $9.95 per month.
Some providers are even offering to add a computer for $150.
So, you’ve got cheap service, and a computer. Now you just need to learn to use it basically, or have a helper in your home, like a child that can.
Saying all this, here’s a page that may help someone.
Good luck.
